listcat - Display selected contents of the pass catalog

SYNOPSIS

listcat [ parameter=value ... ]

Parameters are: tape_label, telemetry, start_date, end_date, sort_by_date, printout.

DESCRIPTION

listcat selectively reports the contents of the archive pass catalog. Search criteria are either by tape label or by date range and telemetry. To report passes that cover a particular area, use the catcover function.

PARAMETERS

tape_label

This is the name of the external tape label. The name cannot exceed 12 characters in length and is case sensitive. That is, if the tape label was originally entered in upper case letters it must be entered in upper case letters here also. If tape_label is left blank, tape label is not used as a search criteria.

Valid responses are any tape label name, up to 12 characters long. The name can include the wildcard * to match any string of characters.

The default is [ ].

telemetry

This is data telemetry type. It must be entered in lower case.

Valid responses are any telemetry defined in $SATDATA/SATSETUP. Commonly used telemetries include hrpt, rtd, svas, svissr, gvar, and pdus.

The default is [ ], meaning search for all telemetries.

start_date

This is the start date for the report. Only data frames starting on or after the start date will be listed. This parameter only applies if tape_label is left blank.

Any valid date is allowed.

The default is [ 70/01/01 ].

end_date

This is the end date for the report. Only data frames ending on or before the end date will be listed. This parameter only applies if tape_label is left blank.

Any valid date is allowed.

The default is [ 99/12/31 ].

sort_by_date

Should the output report be sorted by date or should it be sorted by tape label and the data frame number? Answer yes to sort the listing by date and enter no to sort by tape label/frame number.

Valid responses are [ yes or no ].

The default is [ yes ].

printout

This parameter controls the location of the output report. Enter yes to direct the output to the line printer. no will direct the output to the terminal screen.

Valid responses are [ yes or no ].

The default is [ no ].
